By law, all operators and owners must comply with the Lift Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER).

LOLER, referred to as LOLER '98, is a European Directive that is implemented under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The main focus of the regulations is to ensure that any lift must be suitable for its intended usage and be safe, properly maintained and regularly inspected.

Therefore, thorough examinations must be carried out at least every six months or in accordance with an examination scheme (SMA).

Steven Edwards Engineering Ltd can ensure safety standards are maintained. We can issue a Certificate of Thorough Examination.
